Global Player With a Presence's in 11 countries ,Wockhardt is expanding rapidly into a global player ,with products in over 35 countries .It was the first Pharmaceuticals company in India to receive US FDA approval for both pharmaceuticals Formulations as well as for bulk drugs .since then its Factories and products have been approved by other drug regulatory agencies such as the UK MCA,south African MCC ,Australian TGA ,Canadian HPB ,etc .Recently , Wockhardt entered Into a strategic alliance with sidmak laboratories inc . one of America top ten generic Wockhardt Pharmaceuticals companies . As per the Agreement ,sidmak will market fifteen Wockhardt products in the united states. Several such agreement for European and other major global market are also underway . |

In recent years, the All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi and the Directorate of Technical Education has been highlighting the need for making technical courses industry-oriented. Increasingly, emphasis is being given to institute-industry interaction. It is in this context that the management of the Y.B. Chavan College of Pharmacy thought of entering into collaboration with Wockhardt, a pharmaceutical company of international repute, so that the symbiosis can generate the more fruitful results for both, the College and Wockhardt. |

Broadly speaking, there are four areas where the two institutions will work closely together:

Pre-formulation Study – of physico-chemical properties of drugs, including drug-drug interaction and recipient interaction, using various instrumental techniques. |
Literature Search – for preformulation studies through databases as well as from various pharmaceutical journals. | |
Clonical Research-creating the base for clinical trials by providing both space and human volunteers. | |
2. On-the job Training to students during the course of study, so as to
enable them to correlate the theoretical background with actual performance in the pharmaceutical industry, in various operational areas such as: |

Manufacturing of various dosage forms, such as tablets, capsules, orals, eye drops, ointments, injectables, etc. |
II | Chemical and Pharmaceutical Research, so as to conceptualise the functioning of various activities in R & D. |
III | Quality Assurance / Quality Control, for exposure and hands-on training in the various analytical techniques, documentation validity and regulatory aspects. |
3. Corporate Image, by way of hypothecating the new laboratories in the
College where students will get exposure to new instruments and techniques with access to an up-to-date library and other equipment, form time to time. |
4. Technical Expertise forms the industry, within the overall framework. Wockhardt will also provide facilities such as training the College’s faculty, arranging guest lectures from different disciplines of the pharmaceutical industry; making available its library facility at the Research Centre to both students and staff members, as well as awarding generous cash prizes to final year students scoring the highest marks in Pharmaceutics. The Trust, on its part, will endeavor to provide at least 20 male volunteers every month to Wockhardt, form the Y.B. Chavan College of Pharmacy or other colleges at Aurangabad, for carrying out bio-equivalence studies.Wockhardt will pay the volunteers and take complete medical care of them. The Company will be responsible for any consequences resulting from these bio-equivalence studies. |
